Grain Alcohol Enzymes

Enzymes are used in the grain alcohol industry to hydrolyze (break down) large starch molecules into simple sugars. Typically, this hydrolysis of starch to simple sugars is accomplished by using two-steps, both enzyme-catalyzed processes called liquefaction and saccharification respectively. Our enzymes help to produce fuel ethanol and potable alcohol, stimulating the local economy and encouraging greener practices.

Grain Alcohol

Liquefaction

SEBStar HT MaxThermostable Alpha Amylase- High Concentration

Thermostable, liquid alpha-amylase preparation used to liquefy starch and to produce dextrins as an intermediary step in the manufacture of alcohol.

SEBStar HT SuperThermostable Alpha Amylase- Lower Concentration

Thermostable, liquid alpha-amylase preparation used to liquefy starch and to produce dextrins as an intermediary step in the manufacture of alcohol.

SEBStar HT DSThermostable Alpha Amylase- Medium Concentration

Thermostable, liquid alpha-amylase preparation used to liquefy starch and to produce dextrins as an intermediary step in the manufacture of alcohol.

Saccharification

SEBamyl GL DSGlucoamylase Enzyme- Medium Concentration

Glucoamylase enzyme used for quick and efficient hydrolysis of dextrins to produce large amounts of glucose for alcohol production. Rapid glucose generation by this product ensures faster fermentation and maximizes fermentation efficiency.

SEBamyl GL SuperGlucoamylase Enzyme- Lower Concentration

Glucoamylase enzyme used for quick and efficient hydrolysis of dextrins to produce large amounts of glucose for alcohol production. Rapid glucose generation by this product ensures faster fermentation and maximizes fermentation efficiency.

SEBamyl GL MaxGlucoamylase Enzyme- High Concentration

Glucoamylase enzyme used for quick and efficient hydrolysis of dextrins to produce large amounts of glucose for alcohol production. Rapid glucose generation by this product ensures faster fermentation and maximizes fermentation efficiency.

Viscosity Reduction

ViscoSEB HTX

Liquid carbohydrase enzyme preparation containing hemicellulase and xylanase. This product helps to rapidly reduce viscosity of grain slurries, resulting in improved filtration and reduced energy consumption.

ViscoSEB TBG

Thermostable beta glucanase enzyme preparation which rapidly reduces viscosity of cereal grain slurries, which in turn helps to reduce energy consumption and improve plant capacity. Because of its tolerance to a wide range of temperatures and pH, this product is also used during jet-cooking and liquefaction.

Yeast Nutrition

NutraSEB Yeast

Is a fortified, dried Aspergillus oryzae fermentation extract that is an ideal nutrient support system for yeast during the fermentation process. It contains protein, free-form amino acids, minerals, enzymes, vitamins, fiber and other nutrients.

Fermentation Enhancement

SEBPro FE

Liquid protease enzyme preparation, added during mash or fermentation to improve fermentation time, increase alcohol yield, enhance yeast growth and provide consistent fermentation result. The use of this product provides additional nutrients to yeast cells in the form of free amino nitrogen (FAN).

Cellulosic Alcohol

SacchariSEB C6LCellulase Enzyme Used to Produce C6 Sugars from Cellulose
